Michael Keniger is the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Queensland. Recipient of the Queensland Board of Architects’ Architect of the Year award in 1998, he advised the State on projects of major significance as the Queensland Government Architect from 1999 to 2006. Michael has been a key contributor to the direction and realisation of many significant architectural and urban design projects, including the Sydney 2000 Olympics, National Museum, Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, and State Library extension, and South Bank Corporation (inaugural chair of Design Advisory Panel, from 1997 to 1999, then from 2003 to 2004). He serves as the Chair of the Board of Urban Futures Brisbane and as a member of the South Bank Board and the Board of the Urban Land Development Authority.
 
Professor Peter Brooks

Professor Brooks recently established the Australian Health Workforce Institute at The University of Melbourne. He recently stepped down as Executive Dean of Health Sciences at UQ where he developed his interests in the continuum of health education, inter-professional practice and the importance of creating sustainable health system. He is a rheumatologist with a major research interest in the treatment and epidemiology of rheumatic diseases. He is a recognised international expert in this area. He has a major interest in medical research, in particular, the linking of basic and clinical research, internationalisation and development of postgraduate training and health workforce and inter-professional learning. He was the Foundation Professor of Rheumatology at the Royal North Shore Hospital and the University of Sydney and has held posts as Executive Dean of Health Sciences at the University of Queensland; Associate Professor in Medicine at Flinders University of South Australia and Professor of Medicine, University of New South Wales at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney.

Jason has worked at CEO levels in healthcare related companies, leading stock market listed and private companies spanning Australia, Japan & the USA. He has also worked in venture capital (CM Capital, Brisbane) and a large fund (Berwind, Philadelphia) with portfolio healthcare companies.

Professor Terry received a BA and PhD (1989) from the Australian National University, and joined the School of Psychology at The University of Queensland first as postdoctoral research fellow in 1990 and then as a lecturer in 1991. She was Deputy Head of School from 1997 to 1999, and, after serving as Professor of Social Psychology and Head of School from 2000 to 2005, was appointed Executive Dean, Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences in January 2006. In February 2007, Professor Terry accepted an appointment to a half-time role as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning), and in January 2008, Professor Terry was appointed as the inaugural Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning). The position was re-titled Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) from 1 January 2009.
 
Mika Haywood

Mika is the Director of Operations for the Faculty of Health Sciences at The University of Queensland. Mika initially joined the university as a lawyer specialising in research collaborations and intellectual property. He became the Faculty Executive Officer of the Faculty in 1997 and since that time has played a major role in numerous initiatives which have extended the university’s scope of operations by advocating innovative models for engagement.
